Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Zap Invoice at zapinvoice.in (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Zap Invoice provides an online GST invoicing platform that allows Indian businesses and freelancers to create, manage, and share GST-compliant invoices. The Service includes:

  • Invoice creation and PDF download (free and Pro tiers)
  • Invoice history and management (Pro)
  • Client and product master management (Pro)
  • Invoice sharing via email, WhatsApp, and hosted links (Pro)
  • UPI QR code generation (Pro)

Important: Zap Invoice is a tool to help you create invoices. We do not provide tax advice, legal advice, or accounting services. The accuracy and compliance of your invoices remain your responsibility. Consult a qualified CA or tax professional for advice specific to your situation.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information
  • One account per individual or business entity
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials

4. Subscription and Billing

Free Tier

  • Anonymous users: 3 invoices per month (no account required)
  • Registered free users: 10 invoices per month
  • Free invoices include a subtle watermark footer on PDFs

Pro Subscription

  • Monthly: ₹299/month, billed monthly via Razorpay
  • Annual: ₹2,499/year (~₹208/month), billed annually
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period
  • You may cancel at any time from the Billing page; access continues until the end of the paid period
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice via email

Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Razorpay. By subscribing, you also agree to Razorpay's Terms of Service. We do not store any payment credentials.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Create fraudulent, fabricated, or misleading invoices
  • Use the Service for any activity that violates Indian law, including GST laws
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm any person or entity
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or any malicious code
  • Impersonate any person, business, or government entity on your invoices

6. Intellectual Property

Our Property

The Service, including its code, design, UI, brand name, logo, and content, is owned by Zap Invoice and protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our platform.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of your invoice content — your business data, client data, invoice text, and logos. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you. We will never use your invoice data for any other purpose.

7. Disclaimers

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy of GST rates, HSN codes, or legal requirements — always verify with a qualified professional
  • We are not responsible for any penalties, interest, or losses arising from incorrect invoices created using the Service

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zap Invoice's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zap Invoice, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any third-party rights, or (d) the content of invoices you create.

10. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@zapinvoice.in
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice
  • Upon termination, your access to the Service ends. You may request an export of your data within 30 days before termination takes effect
  • Provisions that by nature should survive termination (disclaimers, liability, indemnification) will continue to apply

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India. We encourage resolving disputes through good-faith communication before resorting to legal proceedings.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users via email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
